| Our name derives from a number of sources. Ireland's hedgerow schools were places where Irish people taught one another the songs, stories and language that brought them hope. Self-trained hedge carpenters utilized the wild wood of hedgerows to fashion everyday furniture for common folk. Hedgerows in cultivated landscapes are also vitally necessary as places of safety, passage and nurture for wildlife. Our aim is for Hedgerow to embrace and nurture life's creative, hopeful edges. |
