Our Nursery & Gardens
Hedgerow’s retail nursery at Mosquito Cove in Martinsville, Me., offers a specialized, very high quality selection of trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials and vegetable seeds and seedlings along with other landscaping and gardening supplies — including bulk loam, mulch and compost. Special orders for trees, shrubs and perennials are always welcome.
The display gardens provide visitors with a taste of Hedgerow’s creative approach to gardening and landscape design. Two large raised-bed vegetable gardens supply Hedgerow’s owners with a year-round supply of food. In 2009 a large new garden area in the nursery will provide fresh organic produce (along with fresh eggs from the Hedgerow hens) for retail sale on Saturday mornings — we’ve invited neighbors and friends to join in with their surplus harvests.
