Beautiful Hooked Rugs
Hedgerow’s studio gallery showcases the original hooked rugs, pillows and mats that Hedgerow co-owner Anne Cox creates during the winter months. Her designs tend to be based on the natural environs in and around Hedgerow.
In 2008, three of Cox’s rugs were included in the Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild’s annual “Hooked in the Mountains Rug Show” in the Round Barn at the Shelburne Museum near Burlington, Vt. About 400 rugs were on display. So it was with great delight that we received word that two of Anne’s three rugs were voted among the top 10 rugs in the show — “Mosquito Head” (#3) and “Low Tide” (#6). Mosquito Head was purchased by a local collector last November.
